| Kaizen Description |
In RF testing, we use an RF cable with BMA Female to SMA Male configuration for the IQstream‑M RF Tester. Previously, whenever the BMA female connector was damaged during line running, the cable could not be repaired or reused in the same configuration. The only option was to scrap the cable or convert it into SMA Female to SMA Female for use in some 5G model testing setups.
To improve cable utilization and reduce scrap, we introduced a BMA Female to SMA Female adaptor. By using this adaptor, if the BMA side of the cable becomes NG (damaged), we can connect the adaptor and use an SMA Male to SMA Male cable instead. This allows continued use of the cable setup without scrapping the entire cable.
This improvement increases RF cable reusability, reduces cost, and minimizes material waste in the RF testing process. |

| Before Situation |
RF cable type: BMA Female to SMA Male.
If the BMA female connector was damaged, the cable could not be reused in the same setup.
The cable had to be scrapped or modified to SMA Female to SMA Female and used only in limited cases (e.g., 5G models).
This resulted in higher cable scrap and additional cost. |
