During online audits, the calibration status of weight machines was verified using soft-copy calibration stickers. These stickers were frequently damaged or disturbed by line operators, leading to audit discrepancies and delays. The fragile nature of the soft copies made them prone to wear and tear in the busy production environment.
The recurring damage to calibration stickers not only compromised audit accuracy but also created operational disruptions, requiring frequent reissuance of certificates and causing unnecessary downtime. |

To address this issue, we engaged with the calibration vendor to find a more permanent and robust solution. Together, we developed metal certification plates that are durable and resistant to damage. These metal plates were then installed on each weight machine, replacing the vulnerable soft-copy stickers. This upgrade significantly improved the reliability of calibration verification during audits, minimized operational disturbances, and ensured compliance with calibration standards in a more sustainable way. |
