Frequent shorting failures observed on fine-pitch components (e.g. CPU, PMIC). Shorting rate: 0.8% of total boards (~80 PPM). SPI showing volume >130% on critical pads. Existing stencil: thickness 0.12 mm, aperture 1:1 ratio (no reduction). Rework and inspection time were high, affecting line productivity. | Stencil aperture reduced by 10–15% (modified to 0.1 mm effective opening). Added home plate design for fine-pitch pads. SPI average volume reduced to 95–105% (within target). Shorting failure reduced from 0.8% → 0.05% (80→5 PPM). Line productivity improved by ~3% due to reduced rework. | 10/2025 | ||
